1918 Worldwide Influenza: more people were hospitalized in WWI from this epidemic than wounds. US Army training camps became death camps, with 80% death rate in some camps.

I think it started in a Camp in Missouri and from there it spread. I have found a few records in MO. Some areas were not effected as badly. It wasn't until I looked at my MO connections did I find death records that showed the cause of death.
